Linus Media Group (LMG), the independent media giant behind Linus Tech Tips, has officially entered the world of private aviation.
With over 16.7 million subscribers and billions of views, Linus Sebastian has built one of the most influential tech publications in the world. Now, new information reveals that LMG has acquired a Dassault Falcon 900B. The private jet, registered as C-FXOO, is operating under a new entity named 'Influence Air.'
While LMG has yet to make an official announcement, the digital paper trail is definitive. According to the Canadian Civil Aircraft Register, the aircraft has been registered to LMG’s headquarters in Surrey, British Columbia since November 10, 2025, with the latest certificate issued on December 11, 2025. Furthermore, the domain influenceair.ca which was registered in August 2025 is owned by Luke Lafreniere, the company’s Chief Technology Officer.
Tracking the Movements
The acquisition explains the team's recent travel schedule. Data from our flight tracking platform TheAirTraffic.com shows the jet flying from Vancouver to Las Vegas just before CES 2026. After a brief return to Vancouver, the aircraft flew to the New York area, aligning perfectly with Linus Sebastian’s recent guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to showcase tech from the event.
Video Teaser
While the flight paths provide the logistical proof, Linus Sebastian himself dropped a major hint in his most recent upload.
In the video titled "The TRUTH about How LTT SPENDS Money," (uploaded Jan 15, 2026), Sebastian discusses the company's financials. At the 16:19 mark, he explicitly sets aside funds for:
"Another yet to be disclosed big content related acquisition for 2026."
Crucially, as this line is spoken, the editors inserted a distinct, "fasten seatbelt" chime sound effect a clear, deliberate nod to the new aircraft.
About the Aircraft
The aircraft is a 1990 Falcon 900B (Serial Number: 900B-86). This is not a standard entry level private jet; it is a heavy private jet, considered the most luxurious private jet class available. We estimate the purchase price for this Falcon 900B to be between $5 million and $6 million USD
This specific airframe was previously owned and operated by NovaJet, a Canadian charter jet company.
- Airframe: The aircraft has logged 13,757 hours and 6,721 landings
- Capacity: The cabin was refurbished in 2019 and features a high density 15-seat configuration.
- Condition: The jet appears to be a strategic "turn-key" purchase. Listing records indicate it underwent a fresh "C-Check" (a major heavy maintenance inspection) and received complete landing gear and engine overhauls in May 2025.
- Exterior: The current paint scheme dates to 2018. However, given the channel's extensive relationship with dbrand, it will be interesting to see if the sponsor collaborates on wrapping the jet.
The name "Influence Air" fits perfectly with LMG’s tongue-in-cheek humor. Based on recent flight movements and Linus's own mention of a "big content related acquisition," the jet will likely be used for efficient team travel and content creation rather than just luxury transport. Whether C-FXOO is destined to be a flying server room or a global shuttle for the LMG team, one thing is certain: this is the most significant aviation acquisition in the creator space to date.
While we wait for the inevitable "I Bought a Private Jet" video, Ground Control will be tracking its movements. Welcome to the skies, Influence Air.
LMG has not yet responded to a request for comment.
